Glacier Energy 

With a few factories in the northern parts of the UK, Glacier Energy specialises in heat transfer solutions, inspection services, machining and welding solutions across the oil & gas, renewables, power generation and petrochemical industries.

Due to the nature of manufacturing facilities needing vast open areas, the building is costly to heat. 

After our survey deemed the existing gas heaters costly and hugely inefficient, Sustechs proposed replacing them with infrared heating, to provide instant and zonal heat where engineers could feel heat in necessary working areas. We also installed sensors (PIRs) on the heaters, to ensure that heaters would turn on and off automatically, exactly when required.

Overall, the engineers were extremely happy with the difference in heating, and the savings from switching to a more energy-efficient source were profound!
